Seine ber\u00fchmte Insektensammlung umfasste mehr als 11\u2019000 Exemplare und geh\u00f6rte zu den bedeutendsten naturhistorischen Sammlungen des 18. Jahrhunderts. Mit den \u00abIllustrations of Natural History\u00bb schuf Drury eines der bedeutendsten entomologischen Werke seiner Zeit.
