Zt.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"kommentar1\">Der Verfasser Stephan Schultz (1714-1776) war zwanzig Jahre lang reisender Mitarbeiter resp. Missionar im Auftrag des Hallenser Institutum Judaicum, gegr\u00fcndet 1728. Dieses stand unter der Leitung des pietistischen Theologen Johann Heinrich Callenberg (1694-1760), der eine gut organisierte Mission der Juden &#8211; die erste ihrer Art &#8211; im deutschsprachigen Europa betrieb. Das dekorative Frontispiz stammt von der Kupferstecherin Johanna Dorothea Sysang (1729-1791), die u.a. auch Illustrationen zu Buffon und Klopstocks Messias anfertigte (cf.
